A Beautiful Spring Sunday

So, this is how Norah feels about grass. City slicker. Please note the right foot...

We finally got the swing up in the back yard. Mercifully, the grass can't get her up there.

So big!!!

It's official, our girl is one year old. It's a bit cliche to say, but it really is unbelievable how quickly the year went by. Norah (and her parents) had a very, very fun weekend celebrating with a few friends and lots of family. Here are some photos from her birthday brunch today.

Norah digging in to her strawberry birthday cake.

All in all, she didn't make too big of a mess...
This is what you get when you ask the question, "How big is Norah?!?" (a one-handed "Sooo big!!!")
Norah opening some presents.

One more time...sooo big!!!
Norah and her most adoring fans! Thank you so much to Norah's grandparents for traveling so far so many times this year to be with her. We love you all very much.

West Virginia

We recently took another weekend trip to West Virginia. Eleanor stopped in on her way back to school in Ohio. Here are some great pictures she took!

Snow!

Here are some pictures from Norah's first real snow. It was still coming down hard this morning when we got up. Norah watched the flakes fall from the window, then joined Patrick outside when he finished shoveling.

This afternoon, Norah and Sophia went to check out the deep snow in the field. Sophia was fascinated. Norah....
....was not.

Not now, Mom

Norah has all of these really cute things she does now (clearing her throat when anyone else does, barking like Stella, waving bye-bye, etc) but she won't ever do them when I bring out the video camera...so, I've given up. Here's a video of Norah totally ignoring me!

What a month!

January has been a very, very busy month for Norah (and her parents). Lots of visitors, a trip to Tennessee and a new president! Here are some highlights:

Standing is a breeze. Here is Norah and Sophia playing at home last week. Taking bets on when the first steps will come... Uncle Matt and Aunt Jen stopped by before leaving for India! Baba and Zeda Henry visited at the beginning of the month. Here is Norah before her first swim class. Last Saturday she blew bubbles in the pool! Just chillin'. Norah gearing up to tear into the pile of presents from the Henrys!Breakfast with Papaw.

First time on a swing! Big hit.Swinging with Auntie E-- doesn't get much better than this!
