Sunday drive

Norah and Kata in matching dresses from Nana!

Speaking of Nana...we took a Sunday drive this weekend down the coast. About an hour into the trip, Norah became convinced we must be going to Birmingham to see Nana. Looks just like I-59, right?!?

Norah and Woobie enjoying the tropical view:

Norah is potty trained! Patrick bought her this pool as a reward:

Keep it down up there! Norah can now proudly identify a parrot call. Kata will find our next backyard eerily quiet...

This week in Georgetown

This is Norah with wonderful Sharon. Sharon is at our house five days a week helping out with housework and with the girls. She makes life so pleasant!

Backyard pose. We have grand visions of swingsets and gardens...will keep you posted...

Red wagon with rain water, better than a swimming pool!

Just so you didn't think I was leaving Kata out of this post...here she is demonstrating what is still her preferred activity!

Reunited and it feels so good

Aaaahhh....home sweet home! We have all settled easily back into life in Guyana and life as one family under one roof. Kata has been sleeping really well at night (down to one brief night feeding, thank you very much) and Norah has been in overdrive trying to fit in quality time with every single toy she owns. Patrick even claims not to miss the calm and quiet...

Here's Kata making up some lost time with her Dad:

Mimi and Papaw accompanied us on our journey back home. (and thank goodness they did...it would not have been possible to handle the tired 2 year-old's delirious airplane aisle antics while simultaneously inhaling coffee after coffee and clutching newborn.)

We just had to take them to experience our favorite local hangout: the pool, poolside restaurant and playground at the Pegasus Hotel.

Can you find Kata in this picture?

Papaw just couldn't resist that seesaw

Rum coctails and cherry juice

Now that's some serious liming:

After just three days, Mimi and Papaw had to leave (a sad, sad moment for all!). Here are some pictures from life as we now know it:

Sister love.

Miss Chunky Guyana 2010

Tina Ballerina had to get in on the action.

Housework.

Shhh...don't tell Kata that's not really just a "Princess Net" on her bed...

Welcome to Limin' Times!

In Guyana, "liming" is a general term for hanging out, relaxing, partying, etc. Here in the new Henry family Limin'Times, you'll watch Norah and Kata grow, play, travel and most certainly lime.

We'll get to our new life in Guyana with the next post. But first, we have to properly welcome Kata to the blog!

Kata's life has been an adventure so far! She has lived in four houses and two countries in her first eight weeks. Top that!

Kata (rhymes with beta for those of you who have not yet met the new star!) was born May 19, 2010 at 4:18pm. It was smooth 7-hour labor- no c-section this time! She weighed 7lbs 12oz.

Here are some happy family members anxious to meet the newest Henry! Norah is just plan anxious.

Daddy, Norah and new baby sister!

We enjoyed a week with Baba and Zedal while housesitting in our own little home!

Then one rainy, but relaxing and quiet week at Tucker Branch.

Patrick returned to Guyana on June 1. We then spent 5 weeks with a very loving, dedicated and sleep-deprived Mimi and Papaw.

A few more images from the Kata fan club. We love you, Kata!!!
